What differentiates one skilled nursing & rehabilitation center from another? The answer is... the people who work and reside there! The people set the tone, the atmosphere, and the expectations. At The Laurels of Fulton, we take great pride in ensuring that everyone feels like part of our family and that they are treated as special "guests" in our home.

The Laurels of Fulton employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.

Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Fulton is directly employed, not "contracted". Each Team Member takes great pride in portraying "The Laurel Way of Caring", as they strive for excellence in providing only the highest standard of care and services to every guest, and to every family member and visitor. Katie Conner

Director of Nursing

Katie joined The Laurels of Fulton team as the Director of Nursing in February, 2022. She started out as a C.N.A and continued her schooling to become an RN. She has worked in various capacities in LTC, including MDS, Unit Manager and floor nurse. Prior to joining the Laurel of Fulton, she worked as an interim DON.

“I love the smallness of the facility and how close we all are already,” says Katie. “I’m am looking forward to working with this team.”

Katie married her high school sweetheart and together they have an April fool’s baby who will be 2 this April. They love being outside hiking, hunting and fishing.

John Palmer


John started on January 12 th as an interim and recently accepted the Administrator role. John has worked in the healthcare industry for 45 years - 38 years as an Administrator. In fact, John was the Administrator at Lakeview Manor before Lakeview Manor was a part of the Ciena family in 1995.

John speaks very highly of the Laurels of Fulton. They are like one big family and have just clicked. He is most excited about how his team is quality driven while remaining warm and welcoming to everyone.

In his spare time, John enjoys antiquing and renovating houses. He has flipped 5 houses so far and it doesn’t sound like he’s stopping anytime soon! He is also the proud dad of five children.
